Monoethanolamine (MEA)

Monoethanolamine (MEA) is a clear viscous, liquid organic compound with a mild ammonia-like odour, derived from ethylene oxide and ammonia. It is a chemical intermediate used in the production of a wide range of heavy duty detergents and soaps, and in the neat form to purify refinery and natural gases.

Molecular Formula : HOC2H4NH2

Usage
Monoethanolamine (MEA) can be used to enhance strength, reduce drying time and protects against the affects of freezing in industrial cement. Monoethanolamine (MEA) mainly use for gas treating in petrochemical & oil treatments. To neutralize acid in lubricant, corrosion and rust inhibitor in metalworking fluids, utilize Monoethanolamine (MEA).

Monoethanolamine (MEA) use to make soaps for use in hand lotions, cosmetic creams, cleansing creams, shaving creams, and shampoos; also for dry-cleaning solvents and heavy-duty liquid laundry detergents. In printing inks, Monoethanolamine (MEA) control pH in the formulation of packaging and printing inks.

Monoethanolamine (MEA) is also use to clean and scour textiles, wetting agent, improve lather and ease of soap removal.
